Two-vehicle crash causes traffic delays near Stennis Airport

A two-vehicle crash that caused traffic delays on Highway 603 near Stennis International Airport has been cleared.

MDOT said the roadways are back open after the Friday morning crash.

Hancock County Chief Deputy Don Bass said the crash happened at the intersection of Highway 63 and Stennis Airport road. Bass said the crash involved a car and an 18-wheeler, but he had no information on the cause of the crash nor did he know if anyone was injured.

He said a hazardous materials team is on the scene cleaning up leaking fuel from the truck. Traffic is blocked near the crash scene and delays should be expected.
