D’Iberville police are investigating a two-vehicle crash that left one person dead Tuesday night.
D’Iberville police Lt. Jason King said the crash happened at about 11 p.m. The crash occurred at the intersection of Goodman Road and Brodie Road.
King said a 2001 Ford Taurus was traveling westbound on Goodman Road when the vehicle failed to navigate a curve. The Ford Taurus struck a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer traveling southeast through the curve. After striking the Mercury Mountaineer the Ford Taurus struck a utility pole belonging to Coast Electric.
The driver of the Ford Taurus was pronounced dead at the scene by members of American Medical Response. The driver of the Mercury Mountaineer was not injured.
The name of the deceased has not been released. The crash is under investigation.
