Rescue crews had to extract three people from an SUV that flipped onto its side after a wreck on Pass Road on Friday afternoon.

The driver of a Toyota RAV4 said she was traveling eastbound on Pass Road and went through the traffic light at Big Lake Road when a Lexus RX 350 pulled out of the Taco Sombrero parking lot attempting to go westbound when the collision occurred.

The driver of the Toyota was not injured in the wreck. The three people inside of the Lexus sustained mild to moderate injuries.

Two people in the Lexus were pulled out of the vehicle through a window. Rescue officials had to cut the roof off the vehicle to get the third person to safety.

All lanes of Pass Road were closed near the scene of the wreck so officials could clear the roadway, Biloxi police Maj. Chris De Back said.
