One person is dead and several injured in a crash involving two 18-wheelers and five passenger vehicles, Mississippi Highway Patrolman Chase Elkins said.
Deputy Coroner Jason Moody identified the victim as Charles Graham Eddins, 42, of Leland, N.C.
Moody said an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
“All details of the accident are under investigation,” he said.
Elkins said the wreck occurred on the Interstate 10 overpass above Mississippi 613 in Moss Point. Both eastbound lanes from mile-marker 68 were shut down.
The fatal crash occurred about an hour after authorities responded to a wreck just down the road, involving three 18-wheelers, near mile-marker 75.
