Mississippi Department of Transporation say the westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Jackson County have re-opened to traffic on Wednesday morning after a vehicle crash in the early morning hours.
The one-vehicle crash on Interstate 10 at Exit 57 had westbound lanes of the interstate blocked for about three hours, according to MDOT.
Officials from MDOT say diesel fuel was spilled on the interstate and traffic was diverted while the spill is cleaned up. Hazmat officials also were on scene.
An alert was issued at 3:45 a.m., with an update following just after 4 a.m. advising motorists that the lanes were blocked.
