Early morning accident sends one to hospital

Gulfport police responded to an automobile accident at the intersection of Loraine Road and Seaway Road in Gulfport near Interstate-10 on Wednesday morning. The accident occurred just after 6 a.m.

Gulfport Public Information Officer Joshua Bromen said the accident involved two vehicles. One person was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries.

Bromen said the scene had been mostly cleared by 6:30 and traffic was flowing in a normal manner.
