AFRH to host Veterans Day open house

The Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport will host an event open to the public for Veterans Day.

The Nov. 11 open house will feature an arrival by the Patriot Guard motorcycles, a Harrison County Sheriff's Department helicopter landing, a flyover by a Coast Guard helicopter, static displays and presentations and music from the Gulfport High School band.

Retired Brig. Gen. Joe Spraggins will speak during a 9:30 a.m. Ceremony.

Gates at the home will be open from 8:30 a.m. through 1:30 p.m.
