Tickets are on sale through Friday for the 37th annual Salute to the Military event, set for Oct. 20 at the Coast Convention Center.
The event has a tradition of bringing the nation's top military leaders to the Coast to honor our local servicemen and women, said John McFarland, chairman and master of ceremonies.
Maj. Gen. Mark Brown, commander of the 2nd Air Force, will be this year's featured speaker along with U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo, the commanders of each Coast military installation and Eric Brown, Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce chairman.
McFarland said the Salute will feature an exclusive look at a new film on the Vietnam War, as it marks the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II and the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Vietnam conflict.
