Roland Watts, 57, Pearlington

Roland Watts, 57, of Pearlington is remembered as a true family man who loved doing good things for his community.

"My daddy was a very giving man who liked to help others in his community," said his only daughter, Kimberly Watts.

"He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather," Kimberly said. "He dearly loved his two grandchildren and great-grandchild."

Watts was a pharmacist in New Orleans and had moved to Pearlington, where they had a family home, just a few months before Hurricane Katrina.

He was raised in the country before he became a New Orleanian.

"Daddy was a very private person, one who always spoke the truth," Kimberly said.
