LONG BEACH - At Tuesday night's City Council meeting, the city of Long Beach reiterated that the deadline for residents to have hurricane debris put at roadside for pickup was June 5.
The council said that people are still scrambling to get debris by the road even though the deadline has passed.
"If people have procrastinated this long, they are potentially going to be on their own," said Alderman-At-Large Allen Holder.
The city plans to have the debris picked up by June 30.
