Ceremony Aug. 29 at 2:30 p.m. Exhibit hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Exhibits show the devastation and lasting impact of Katrina and the dedication of volunteers A tribute to the strength and spirit of rebuilding.

Saturday, Aug. 30

Community Commemoration

Lynn Meadows Discovery Center, 246 Dolan Ave., Gulfport

Commemorating the anniversary and honoring the volunteers, staff and local businesses who helped rebuild the museum after the storm.

9 a.m. — Breakfast with guest speakers, former Gov. Haley Barbour and Mayor Hugh Keating. Free admission and all who attend receive free museum admission for the day.

10 a.m.-5p.m. — Activities, displays and Wall of Hope for messages and reflections.

Sunday, Aug. 31

Remembrance service

2 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Gulfport, 2301 15th St.

Reunion reception 3-4:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall
