Tulane plans online master's program for homeland security

Tulane University's School of Continuing Studies is offering a new online program for a Master of Professional Studies degree in Homeland Security.

The new program will consist of 10 courses covering terrorism, critical thinking and intelligence, cyber threats, infrastructure protection and emergency management. The program's core courses will be offered during fall 2016.

The enrollment deadline is Aug. 26.

"Tulane is the only university in the region to offer an online MPS that covers both homeland security and emergency management," said Michael Wallace, Tulane's director of homeland security studies. All of the professors are experts in their fields and have experience teaching online classes, he said.
