Burrow named Pascagoula's Distinguished Young Woman of the Year for 2017

Resurrection Catholic School junior Elizabeth Burrow, left, was awarded the title of Pascagoula's Distinguished Young Woman of the Year for 2017.

The daughter of Stephen and Mary Burrow, she also won the Be Your Best Self Essay Award and the Talent Award for her vocal performance.

Clara Alexis Harbin, right, also a junior at RCS, was named first alternate. The daughter of Kirk and Bridgette Harbin, she also won the Fitness Award.

The Pascagoula program is part of the state and national endeavor to honor and reward scholarships to outstanding young women for their accomplishments. It is designed to promote academics, physical fitness, morality, character and social and civic participation.
