Singing River Academy 6th graders moved after lightning strike
Sixth grade students at Singing River Academy in Gautier were moved out of their building after lightning hit a cell phone tower near the school, officials said.
The students were taken to the cafeteria of the fifth grade building as a precaution, said district spokesperson Debbie Anglin.
The Gautier Fire Department is inspecting the sixth grade building and students will return once the check is complete.
All sixth grade students are safe and accounted for, Anglin said.
