March 31 is the deadline to apply for the 18 scholarships offered by the Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
High school, college and nontraditional students in South Mississippi are invited to apply.
Since 2005, the nonprofit has awarded more than 1,500 scholarships totaling more than $1 million.
The foundation also offers Explosion of Excellence scholarships of between $250 and $5,000 to graduating high school seniors in the top 10 percent of their classes at Jackson County high schools.
