OCEAN SPRINGS — David and Jennifer Lapointe enjoyed 10 seconds of fame Tuesday on “Good Morning America.”

They were invited to show off their Mardi Gras attire and delivered Moon Pies to Robin Roberts and the crew.

David Lapointe is a social studies teacher at Ocean Springs Middle School, and Jennifer Lapointe teaches in the upper elementary.

The school district posted a picture of them on Facebook, and schools Superintendent Bonita Coleman-Potter tweeted about them.

“I’m happy they were taking Mardi Gras to New York,” Coleman-Potter said. “We’re certainly enjoying it.”

OSMS Principal Adele Register said the assistant principal knows someone on the show and secured tickets for the Lapointes, who were on holiday break from school.

She said she watched the show. They got a full 10 seconds on camera.

OSMS teachers know how to celebrate Mardi Gras!! Mr. Lapointe and his wife were on Good Morning America this morning.
