Zeta Phi Beta Sorority holds annual debutante cotillion

Zeta Phi Beta sorority held its 13th annual debutante cotillion at the Coast Coliseum Convention Center in Biloxi on Dec. 12, when 16 young ladies were presented to society.

The debutantes participated in a number of activities including Mother/Daughter Tea, Father/Daughter Brunch, workshops on social graces, how to apply for college scholarships and financial planning.

This year's debutantes, all high school seniors:

Zacquannique Andrews, daughter of Pamela and Chadwick Andrews, attends D'Iberville High School. She was presented by her father and escorted by Steven Biggs Jr., son of Atronette Henderson and Steven Biggs Sr.

Mahogani Antoine, daughter of Sheena Hawthorne-Hicks and Thomas Antoine, attends Pass Christian High School. She was presented by her father and escorted by Devan Jackson, son of Darlene Rivers and Willie Jackson.

Madisyn Collier, daughter of Simone and Roy Collier Sr., attends Gulfport High School. She was presented by her father and escorted by Miles Daniels, son of Altagracia Dozier and Tabari Daniels.

Olivia Conley, daughter of Linda and Howard Conley, attends Gulfport High School. She was presented by her godfather, Terrance Blackwell, and escorted by Kaleb Crump, son of Trinette Crump.

Breanna Dedeaux, daughter of Allison and William Dedeaux, attends Pass Christian High School. She was presented by her father and escorted by Volme Swanier Jr., son of Susie and Volme Swanier Sr.

NiCollette Edwards, daughter of MiCollette Richardson, attends Ocean Springs High School. She was presented by her uncle, Medger Richardson, and escorted by Kamerin McGure, son of Adrianna Robbins.

Kristyan Green, daughter of Michele Green, attends Biloxi High School. She was presented by her grandfather, Louis Green Sr., and escorted by Jeremy Martin, son of Rochelle Martin.

Lydia Hawthorne, daughter of April Hawthorne, attends Pascagoula High School. She was presented by Ozay Jones, a family friend, and escorted by Goldarius Dortch, son of Terri Sellers and Jimmie Dortch.

A'Kia Huddleston, daughter of Sharron Denise Belino-Love, attends Gulfport High School. She was presented by her father and escorted by De'Maurea Price, son of Zonthia and Eric Conner.

Makia Johnson, daughter of Karen Johnson and the late Aquaneldo Johnson, attends Gulfport High School She was presented by her godfather, Charlie Wilson, and escorted by Tyler Rushing, son of Mavis Daniels and Lloyd Rushing.

Quentella Johnson, daughter of LaShanda Johnson and Larry Johnson, attends Gulfport High School. She was presented by her father and escorted by Edward Magee, son of Cendirella Potts and Concelia Magee.
