Chapter E of Mississippi P.E.O. Sisterhood welcomes two new members
Donna Kirkman and Paula Chastain were initiated into Chapter E of the Mississippi P.E.O. Sisterhood. The group was founded in 1869 by seven women attending Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant, Iowa. P.E.O. is a philanthropic educational organization whose primary purpose is to promote educational opportunities for women through grants, loans, awards and scholarships, including an international peace scholarship for graduate work. Chapter E was organized in Biloxi on April 18, 1948.
