Gulfport High School students selected for honor choir

Thirteen Gulfport High School students were selected for the University of Southern Mississippi's SICC Honor Choir. In addition, there were five Gulfport High Choir alumni in the SICC Community College Honor Choir. Of those alumni, Olivia Russell, a student at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College at Perkinston, was a featured soloist in a master class for the faculty professional development; and Lane Stewart, at student at Pearl River Community College, was a featured soloist during the exhibition concert. Rounding out the Gulfport High influence continued as four GHS alumni who are members of the USM Choral Department performed in the exhibition choirs at SICC. In all, 22 Gulfport High singers participated.
