Pearl River Community College this week enrolled more than 5,400 students for the first time in school history, PRCC officials announced today.
The enrollment number is a 5 percent increase over 2009. Classes began Monday and late registration ended this week.
Figures compiled through Aug. 20 show 5,469 students, including 4,577 full-time students enrolled at one of the three PRCC campuses, satellite locations or online.
"Pearl River Community College has experienced another record enrollment for the fall semester," PRCC President William Lewis said in a press release.
