Rapper Choppa performs hit song and Who Dat chant during surprise visit to Hancock High

Hancock High students have had quite the fun homecoming week.

They’ve dressed up as famous folks and went country in camouflage garb, or wore their best golf attire as if they were going to the country club.

They’ve enjoyed activities at school, and the homecoming court was announced.

And a surprise at Friday’s pep rally was the cherry on top.

New Orleans rapper Choppa surprised students and performed his hit song “Choppa Style” as teens cheered and danced along. The band, dance team and cheerleading squad took part in the performance.

Choppa’s visit was captured in a video posted to Hancock High’s Facebook page.

Choppa also led the students in a Hancock Hawks-themed rendition of the “Who Dat?” chant usually reserved for the New Orleans Saints.

Hancock plays Lanier in their Friday night homecoming game.
