Bayou View Middle School teacher, class in quarantine after possible COVID exposure
A middle school teacher and one class of students will be quarantined after a positive COVID-19 exposure, the Gulfport School District announced Tuesday.
The Bayou View Middle School students and teacher will be in quarantine for 14 days per protocol.
The students will participate in online virtual learning, the school district said.
Gulfport schools have been posting coronavirus updates related to cases and quarantines on their Facebook page as situations arise to keep the public informed, the district said earlier this month after classes began.
The district has also installed temperature machines inside schools, WXXV-TV reported.
