  • Cruisin’ The Coast runs seven venues Saturday, drawing over 10,000 registered cars.
  • Event highlights include the Vicari Auction, Gulfport drag races and a 2 p.m. fly-over.
  • Weekend finale features prize awards, Cruise Central ceremonies and 2026 registration.

Saturday is the biggest day for Cruisin’ The Coast, giving those who were at work or school all week the opportunity to get out among the cars and the people who love these colorful reminders of the past.

The seven Cruisin’ venues will be open Saturday from Bay St. Louis to Pascagoula and if the 10,000-plus cars aren’t enough nostalgia, Mississippi Aviation Heritage Museum planes will salute Cruisin’ with a fly-over just off the beach at 2 p.m.

Other highlights Saturday are the last and grandest day of the Vicari Auction at the Coast Coliseum, classic car races at Gulfport Dragway and a fee outdoor concert by Journey tribute band Departure at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast as a send-off to the Cruisers.

Many of the cars and drivers will head home early Sunday while others will be there for the closing ceremonies and awarding of prizes at Cruise Central in Gulfport.

If it seems this year saw the most amazing cars on the Coast, it’s partly because there are so many to look at. Thursday smashed the record of 10,070 registered vehicles and the total continues to rise. Cruisin’ has gained such a reputation over its 29 years that it continues to draw long-timers and 1,000 first-timers each year from nearly every state and several countries.

The success of this year fuels the staff and hundreds of volunteers to prepare for the 30th Cruisin’ next year from October 4-11.
