600 vintage cars gather in Long Beach for the Cruisin’ The Coast Parade
By Jackson Ranger
600 vintage car owners came together in Long Beach for the annual Cruisin’ The Coast parade.
The cars began parking at Long Beach High School at 1 p.m., with only the first 600 vehicles to arrive getting to participate in the parade. At 6 p.m., cars began leaving the lot to drive down North Cleveland Avenue, onto East Railroad Street, then Jeff Davis Avenue before finishing at the Long Beach Harbor.
The event drew in thousands of people who camped out along the parade route to receive free candy, bead necklaces and stuffed animals from the cars while others came to watch and cheer on the variety of vintage cars featured in the parade.
