Search of George County home led to meth distribution arrest

A search warrant at a home on Wiley Smith Road has led to a woman’s arrest on a drug distribution charge involving meth.

Narcotics agents arrested Alisha Smith, 36, Monday at a home in the 100 block of Wiley Smith, Sheriff Keith Havard said.

She was held at the George County jail pending a court appearance and bond hearing.

Havard said her arrest was part of a joint investigation of meth sales by his office and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
