Biloxi traffic stop leads to felony gun arrest

A traffic stop Friday night on Pass Road in Biloxi led to the arrest of a Magee man on a weapons charge.

Police Lt. Christopher De Back said Chantellos McLaurin, 41, was stopped in the 1900 block of Pass Road about 8 p.m.

DeBack said officers found drug paraphernalia and a handgun.

McLaurin was arrested on a charge of possession of a weapon by a felon and misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license, careless driving and no proof of insurance.

He was taken to the Harrison County jail on $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Albert Fountain.
