Two Moss Point men are facing charges connected to the burglary of a house and shed while the home’s owner was out of the country, authorities said.
When the owner of the Escatawpa property returned to check on his home, he found the front door kicked in and the shed broken into, said Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell.
Among the items missing were a washer, dryer, two freezers, five ceiling fans, dishes, pots, pans, a tool box, several nail guns and a 24-foot extension aluminum ladder.
Investigators recovered some of the items at two pawn shops and returned them to the owner, Ezell said.
Jody Bouler, 43, was charged with commercial burglary. Neighbors told investigators they saw him with the ladder belonging to the property owner, Ezell said.
Robert Todd Beech, 26, was charged with possession of stolen property after authorities said he pawned the items.
