The man accused in the shooting of two people in July now faces additional charges of attempted murder and aggravated assault in the wounding of the couple’s 6-month-old.
The two new charges against Myrick Laneaux, 27, are related to his shooting of the infant, Bay St. Louis Police Chief Mike De Nardo said Thursday night. Laneaux had already been charged with two counts of murder.
The baby, who was shot in the shoulder, is expected to recover.
Her mother, 28-year-old Kristina Quintini, and father, 29-year-old Norris Demetrius Mueller, were found dead July 30 at Quintini’s duplex in Bay Pines. A call regarding their welfare sent police to the apartment. The couple was pronounced dead about 7 p.m.
Autopsies showed Quintini died of gunshot wounds and Mueller died of a gunshot to the head.
The complete booking sheet on Laneaux now lists aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, attempted murder, motor vehicle theft and two counts of murder.
Laneaux is being at the Hancock County jail held in lieu of $2.85 million in bonds.
Bond on the attempted murder charge was set at $500,000 and the aggravated assault charge at $250,000. Bonds for the two counts of murder were set at $1 million each, and for the vehicle theft at $100,000.
