Police are searching for three men they say used a Taser to rob an electronics store on Saturday.

The incident occurred about 8 p.m. at Best Buy in the Promenade shopping center, D’Iberville Police Capt. Marty Griffin said.

After three men entered the store, one of them served as the group’s “lookout” while the other two began removing items from shelves, namely laptop computers and a hoverboard.

As the men exited the store, employees tried to stop them and direct them to a cash register counter. That’s when the group’s lookout brandished a Taser stun gun, allowing the three to exit and get into a minivan that was parked in front of the store with its sliding door open, Griffin said.

Video surveillance captured footage of the men as they left the store, but the minivan did not have a license plate. The property stolen was valued at more than $1,500.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to contact the D’Iberville Police Department at 396- 4252 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at (877) 787-5898.
