Oh, what tangled webs we weave when first we practice to deceive.

A Vancleave man falsely accuses Kenneth Wayne Flowers of Biloxi of armed robbery. A felony warrant is issued because of the false report.

Jackson County sheriff’s deputies go looking for Flowers and find him Saturday in a Super 8 motel in St. Martin. Flowers gave deputies a fake name, but he’s arrested anyway because they found meth in his room, Sheriff Mike Ezell said.

The Vancleave man who reported the armed robbery, Leroy Aaron Lee, admitted Tuesday that the armed robbery never happened, so the sheriff’s department dropped the armed robbery charge against Flowers. He still has to answer for the meth charge, as well as a false identification charge for giving deputies a false name at the motel room.

Lee, as it turns out, not only made up the armed robbery, but he is wanted in New Orleans on a grand larceny warrant. He’ll also have to answer for making a false report.
