A man who gave investigators a video of a woman stealing his vehicle failed to say the woman was living with him, Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Angela Beard, 31, after Jeffrey Savarese reported his ex-girlfriend had taken his vehicle.

Savarese, 32, spoke with sheriff’s investigators several times and gave them a video of Beard taking the vehicle from his property near 28th Street, Peterson said.

After Beard’s arrest, investigators learned she was living with Savarese and he had not disclosed it, Peterson said.

A Gulfport police K9 team arrested her Tuesday on an auto-theft charge at her residence on Angela Drive. That’s when investigators learned she’d been living with Beard about a month, the sheriff said.

Deputies arrested Savarese on a charge of hindering prosecution.

Beard was released from the county jail on her own recognizance.

Savarese also was released from jail, but on a $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Diane Ladner.
