A Wiggins woman and a parolee were arrested when a search for a stolen vehicle led investigators to a Biloxi hotel, officials said.
Deputies arrested Lacey Mae Hartfield early Saturday on a charge of taking away of a motor vehicle. They arrested Derrick Lee Graham on a probation warrant after learning he was at the hotel with her, sheriff’s Lt. Coley Judy said.
Hartfield, 24, was sought on a charge involving a vehicle which a person or business gave someone permission to borrow or drive but claims the driver failed to return it.
Investigators found Hartfield sitting in the vehicle early Saturday at a hotel on U.S. 90, Judy said. Then they learned Graham, 30, was at the hotel with her.
Graham is on probation for a commercial burglary conviction. He also was wanted in D’Iberville on two counts of contempt of court regarding restitution, the county jail docket shows. He was fined on the contempt charges and was held with no bond on the probation warrant.
Deputies also arrested Hartfield on a felony charge of false pretense.
Hartfield was held on a $40,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
