Thousands added to reward for tips on Slidell church arson

Investigators searching for leads in two arson fires set at the same Slidell church in less than a year have upped the reward for information, which now stands at a possible $10,000.

Bayou Baptist Church on Sullivan Drive was first burned in an October 2015 fire. The congregation had just started the rebuilding of the damaged property when the church was set ablaze again on July 2. Firefighters arrived to find the church engulfed, and the property is considered a total loss.
