In the wake of a shooting that left three Baton Rouge officers dead Sunday morning, videos from various media outlets are streaming the scene from the capital city of Louisiana

The Advocate reported that Baton Rouge police, along with other law enforcement, are working an active shooting scene near the B-Quick Convenience store on Airline Highway, about one mile from Baton Rouge police headquarters. Spokesman L’Jean McKneely said the shooter is dead near the store, and police have sent a robot to check for explosives inside the store.

McKneely said Baton Rouge police were first notified of the shooting at about 8:45 a.m.

The three victims who died are two Baton Rouge police officers and one East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff’s deputy, the newspaper said.

The Associated Press said that three other officers were wounded in the shooting, and two suspects are believed to be at large.

Multiple police units were stationed at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center, where stricken officers were believed to be undergoing treatment at a trauma center. A police officer with a long gun was blocking the parking lot at the emergency room.

Spokeswoman Ashley Mendoza said the hospital received five patients from the police shooting, all “law enforcement professionals.” Of the two who survived the shooting, one is in critical condition and the other is in fair condition.

AP reported that Gov. John Bel Edwards is asking the public to pray for the officers involved in the shooting and their families.
