Biloxi police say woman stole $3,500 earrings at Beau Rivage, then wanted to go to a steak house
Police have released a surveillance picture of a woman they say shoplifted a $3,500 pair of earrings from a shop at the Beau Rivage.
They want the public’s help to identify her.
It happened about 1 p.m. Thursday.
The earrings, by Roberto Coin, are a one-carat diamond cluster that’s reversible and has blue gems on one side, Detective Steve Kelly said.
“The woman called for a taxi to leave the casino and said she wanted to go to a fancy steakhouse,” Kelly said.
“She went to the Waffle House across the street.”
Investigators learned the woman paid cash for the meal and left on foot, he said.
Police believe she lives in South Mississippi.
Casino personnel recognized her as having come in a couple of times in the past, he said.
The woman is wanted on a felony shoplifting charge.
