Sheriff: K-9 finds Long Beach woman wanted on felony warrant
A Long Beach woman wanted on a felony grand larceny warrant was apprehended by a Harrison County K-9 deputy on Saturday, officials said.
Deputies on Saturday went to the 15000 block of Moran Road about 8:50 a.m. to serve felony warrants, Sheriff Troy Peterson said in a press release. Officials suspected Jennifer Rose Beard, 31, of Long Beach, along with another wanted fugitive, were inside the residence. Peterson said Beard had an outstanding warrant for grand larceny.
After multiple attempts to have the people inside exit the residence with no success, deputies deployed a K-9 deputy into the home, Peterson said. The K-9 found Beard in a rear bedroom inside the residence.
Beard was arrested and taken to Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for evaluation and treatment of injuries as a result of the apprehension, Peterson said.
