Lucedale man arrested on theft, burglary charges; two sought
A Lucedale man is in custody, and sheriff's deputies are searching for two others wanted on theft and burglary charges.
Jeffrey Brian Strickland, 48, of Lucedale, faces charges of grand larceny and commercial burglary.
He was arrested June 23 in George County after Jackson County sheriff's investigators confirmed a piece of equipment found in his vehicle was stolen from a Moss Point business, Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell said.
Ezell said investigators believe Strickland and two other men stole the equipment and burglarized a second business in the Helena community.
The stolen property from both businesses was recovered and is valued at more than $10,000.
Strickland is being held in the George County jail, awaiting transfer to the Jackson County jail.
