A woman who saw a Yeti cup thrown out a car window in a casino parking garage led police to a Pascagoula woman sought on an auto burglary charge, police said.

Police arrested Stephanie Kirkley, 23, on Thursday morning.

A woman had gone to her car in the IP Casino Resort parking garage early Thursday and realized her car had been burglarized, Detective Grandver Everett said.

Kirkley was parked next to her, he said, and the woman asked Kirkley if she saw who stole items from her car or if she did it.

Kirkley started to drive away, and the woman saw her throw a Yeti cup out of her car window, Everett said.

Police were notified at 3:08 a.m.

“It happened pretty quick,” Everett said. “Security got there right away and police shortly afterward.”

The woman had left her vehicle unlocked, and reported money and a Yeti cup were stolen, he said.

Kirkley was held at the Harrison County jail on a $10,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Fountain.
