Man accused of downloading, sending child porn
A Picayune man has been summoned to federal court on a three-count indictment involving child pornography.
Elza Eugene Harter, 52, is set for an initial appearance and arraignment June 28 in U.S. District Court.
He is charged with receipt, distribution and possession of child pornography.
The indictment alleges Harter used a laptop computer to download and send images of one or more minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct from Jan. 28, 2014, through April 20, 2014.
It also alleges he had child pornography on a laptop computer on June 5, 2014. That charge also alleges the images involve one or more minors.
A grand jury indicted him June 14.
The indictment was unsealed after a warrant was issued for his arrest, court records show.
