Update: Woman sought in stolen fuel case found walking on Pass Road
BILOXI -- A woman sought in $2,000 in gas purchases with a stolen fuel card was arrested Friday after she was seen walking down a street.
Police had released surveillance pictures to the media Friday morning. Hours later, an investigator in an unmarked car saw her on Pass Road, Detective Brock Newell said.
Mickie Rashell Lynch, 27, was wearing the same T-shirt she wore in some of the pictures and the same shorts as she'd worn in other pictures, he said.
The card was reported stolen Wednesday from the 800 block of U.S. 90. It was used at several gas stations in Biloxi and Gulfport, Newell said. Other surveillance pictures showed Lynch with different vehicles and other people, he said.
The investigator who thought he recognized the woman pulled over, checked a report and pictures, and called for a marked car, Newell said.
Police arrested her on a charge of felony credit card fraud.
Justice Court Judge Bruce Strong set her bond at $10,000.
She was taken to the Harrison County jail.
