BILOXI POLICE DEPARTMENT Biloxi Police want the public's help identifying this man for questioning about a business transaction Sunday evening involving counterfeit bills.

BILOXI -- The Police Department hopes the public can help identify three men and a woman wanted for questioning about counterfeit bills.

Investigator Brock Newell said a business received $300 in counterfeit bills Sunday evening.

Newell said one man tried to buy an air conditioner with 15 counterfeit bills in $20 denominations. Serial numbers were duplicated on the bills.

"He didn't get away with it," Newell said. "The cashier checked the bills and went to get a manager." The man left.

Newell's investigation revealed that two men initially arrived in one car. One of the men stood and chatted in the parking lot with the couple pictured in surveillance photographs. The other man scoped out the store while on his cell phone, then the man who had been in the parking lot entered the store and tried to buy the air conditioner, Newell said.

Newell asks that anyone with information call the Police Department at 228-392-0641, the Biloxi Criminal Investigations Division at 228-435-6112 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898, or email the Biloxi Criminal Intelligence Unit at ciu@biloxi.ms.us.
