Hit-and-run leaves motorcyclists with life-threatening injuries

A pickup truck hit a motorcycle in Biloxi on Saturday afternoon and drove away, leaving both people on the motorcycle with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.

The crash occurred about 1:15 p.m. on Caillavet Street at Strawberry Street, Biloxi police Lt. Chris De Back said.

A newer-model white pickup that may have an extended cab headed south on Caillavet Street after hitting the motorcycle, De Back said. The truck may have damage on the driver's side, toward the rear.

The motorcycle riders were seriously injured, De Back said. They were taken to an area hospital.

The investigation is ongoing.
