2 sought in I-20 road rage shooting captured in Biloxi

Two men wanted in a road-rage shooting on Interstate 20 in the Jackson area have been arrested in Biloxi.

Brett Allen Davis, 29, and Andrew Koby Walters, 27, both of Picayune, were arrested Thursday on an attempted murder charge, police said.

The shooting took place about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in the eastbound lanes of I-20 at the Airport Road exit in Pearl, authorities said.

Rankin County Undersheriff Raymond Duke said the driver of a car was struck by a bullet above the eye Wednesday, but was able to give authorities information about his assailants' truck. Duke did not identify the driver, who was in stable condition at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Biloxi police investigator Nick Sonnier said police used cellphone signals to find the men. They found Davis' truck, parked and unoccupied, in the parking lot of the Popps Ferry Shopping Center and found Davis and Walters walking in the area of Nelson Drive.

Biloxi police and U.S. marshals took them into custody.

They are being held for Pearl police at the Harrison County jail.
