HARRISON COUNTY -- Authorities said they found close to an ounce of crack cocaine while conducting a traffic stop on Friday.
Harrison County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit arrested Ronald Earl Johnson, 44, of Pass Christian on charges of possession of a weapon by a felon, felony possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, and cocaine possession.
Sheriff Troy Peterson said in a release that deputies found an ounce of crack after pulling him over.
Peterson also said deputies found a small amount of powdered cocaine and a .22 caliber handgun when they executed a search warrant for his residence.

Johnson had previously been convicted twice in Harrison County for controlled substance violations.
He was booked into Harrison County jail, where he is held on a $50,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
