HARRISON COUNTY -- A Diamondhead man faces two counts of auto burglary involving thefts reported on Short Cut Road in Pass Christian, authorities said.
Deputies arrested Brandon Lee Davis, 40, on charges in the auto burglaries reported Saturday.
Both were reported about 12:45 a.m. by people who said items had been stolen from their vehicles, Sheriff Troy Peterson said. The sheriff said the cars had been left unlocked.
About 5:50 p.m., deputies were called back to Short Cut Road about a suspicious man walking down the road, Peterson said.

Deputies found Davis with a checkbook belonging to one of the car owners, Peterson said.
Davis was taken to the Harrison County jail and is held with no bond. He is on probation on a felony drug conviction. He was also wanted in Hancock County on charges of felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance.
