Three arrested in Long Beach burglary driving stolen car

Authorities found property stolen during two separate burglaries after arresting three people in a stolen car, officials said.

Long Beach police who responded to a residence after neighbors reported suspicious activity found the home had been broken into, said Detective Brad Gross.

A description of the vehicle and its tag number matched a vehicle stolen from D'Iberville, Gross said.

Gulfport police found car and its occupants in Gulfport and held them for Long Beach police, Gross said.

Long Beach police arrested Christian E. Chambers, 18, of Saucier, and two juveniles on a charge of burglary of a residence.

Police recovered property from the residence in Long Beach, as well as property stolen during a burglary in Bay St. Louis.

Chambers was taken to the Harrison County jail. Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray set a $50,000 bond.
