BILOXI POLICE DEPARTMENT Police say this woman is wanted on forgery charges involving fake checks using the banking information of a business.

BILOXI -- Police say they learned a woman had forged fake checks after a business reported bill collectors wanted money the business didn't owe.

Police found surveillance pictures that reportedly show the woman. They released the pictures to the media Monday.

"The checks were manufactured on check stock, using the bank routing number and account number of the business," Detective Brock Newell said.

"The checks had the name of the business on them, but the business doesn't use the bank listed on the checks."

The bogus checks were used at several places in Biloxi on or around April 15, Newell said.

The surveillance pictures also include a photo of the vehicle the woman allegedly was using.

The woman is wanted on charges of uttering forgery.

Anyone who recognizes the woman is asked to call the Biloxi Police Department at 392-0641 or its Criminal Investigations Division at 435-6112.
