Pascagoula man on trial for alleged sex crimes against minor
PASCAGOULA -- Jury selection began Monday in the sex crimes case against a Pascagoula man.
A Jackson County grand jury indicted David Henry Epps on 11 counts of sexual battery and eight counts of touching of a child for lustful purposes in an indictment returned last year.
However, he is being tried on four counts of sexual battery and three counts of touching of a child for lustful purposes. Circuit Judge Kathy King Jackson is presiding over the case.
Epps is accused of engaging in sex acts with a minor under the age of 14 at different times between August 2011 and April 2012.
According to court records, the crimes allegedly occurred at the suspect's home or in a camper he owned.
At the time of his April 2012 arrest, Epps lived on Edna Street in Pascagoula.
