Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said an attempted burglary of a Pass Christian home was thwarted by the home's owners, who happened to be armed at the time of the invasion.
Peterson said Kenda Casey, 32, of Gulfport, was attempting to break into a home in the 6000 block of Kiln-Delisle Road on April 23.
He said Casey entered the bedroom of the home and attempted to sexually assault a female homeowner.
When deputies arrived at the home on a burglary in process call, they found the homeowners holding Casey on the ground at gunpoint.
