Misty Eiermann, 36, was sentenced to 40 years in prison for manslaughter, while Bryan Schwartz, 28, was sentenced to 20 years as a principal to manslaughter.

Schwartz drew attention a year ago when he smeared what appeared to be feces on his face during a pretrial hearing and declared, “Life is like a box of chocolates,” as he was led out of the 24th Judicial District courtroom in Gretna.
